ABHIGYAN

Privacy policy

Last updated 13 October 2026. This is the policy for the Abhigyan Android app and the Abhigyan web app (platform.abhigyan.space).

The short version. You sign in with Google. We store your exam choice, your practice results, your chats and your marked answers so the app can show your progress. Photos of handwritten answers are sent for marking and are not kept. The text and photos you send are processed by an AI model provider outside India. We do not show ads, we do not sell your data, and you can delete everything from inside the app.

Who we are

Abhigyan is run by [your legal name or company, and a postal address, to be filled in before publishing]. Contact and grievance officer: support@abhigyan.space.

What we collect

WhatWhy
Your Google account name, email address and a unique user id (through Google sign-in and Firebase Authentication)To create your account and keep your data separate from everyone else's.
Your choices: exam, stage, attempt year, target date, how strong you feel in each sectionTo show the right syllabus, countdown and suggestions.
Practice: the questions in each set, your answers, time per question, scores and topicsTo mark your sets and show your progress.
Copilot chats: the messages you send and the repliesTo keep your conversation and give relevant answers.
Written-answer evaluations: the photos you take or pick, and the result (marks, feedback, the text read from your photo)To mark your answer. The photo is sent to our server and on to the AI model provider; our server does not store the photo. We keep the result in your account.
Learning features: your baseline check answers, your study plan, the cards you open, answer or save, deep-dive and classroom conversations, and mock-interview answers and feedbackTo adapt practice to your level and to show your plan, cards, classes and interview feedback. Interview feedback is practice only and not a prediction of any result.
Weekly Arena: your scores and times, and a nickname if you choose oneTo rank players. The board shows only a nickname (or "Anonymous learner"), never your name or email. You can remove your nickname at any time, and deleting your account erases your Arena entries.
Reports you send about a question, reply or marking, and anything you write in themTo find and fix wrong or unsafe AI output.
Technical records on our server: your user id, which feature you used, amount of text processed, errors, and the IP address that standard hosting logs recordTo stop abuse, apply daily limits and control cost.

We do not collect your location, contacts, microphone recordings or advertising id. The Android app has no advertising and no analytics library. The web app also uses a session-analytics tool (Microsoft Clarity) and, where switched on, traces of AI requests for quality checks (Langfuse); you can block these in your browser.

Who processes your data

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Your data stays until you delete it. Server logs are kept for a short period set by our hosting provider and then removed. Deleting your account removes your profile, practice history, chats, evaluations and reports from our database and closes your sign-in account. Copies in routine backups of the provider may take a short time to expire.

Your choices and rights

Age

Abhigyan is for people aged 18 and over. We ask you to confirm this when you sign in. If we learn that someone under 18 has an account, we delete it.

AI can be wrong

Questions, explanations, chat replies and marks are written by an AI model and can be wrong or out of date. Exam patterns come from public notifications and change. Always check the latest official notification. Abhigyan is not affiliated with UPSC, SSC, IBPS, the Railway Recruitment Boards or any government body.

Security

Data travels over HTTPS. Access to the database is limited by rules so that each signed-in person can read and change only their own data. No system is perfectly secure; if we find a breach that affects you, we will tell you.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before it applies. The date at the top shows the latest version.
